Push Notifications
Stay informed about roster changes, promotions, and chat messages.
Android
On Android, push notifications are enabled by default when you install Mixed Nuts. You can manage notification settings in your device's system settings under Apps > Mixed Nuts > Notifications.
iOS
On iOS, Mixed Nuts will ask for notification permission the first time you open the app. If you denied the prompt, you can enable notifications later by going to Settings > Notifications > Mixed Nuts and toggling "Allow Notifications" on.
In-App Toggle
Mixed Nuts includes an in-app push notification toggle under Profile > Push Notifications. This controls whether the app registers your device for push notifications. If disabled, you will not receive any push notifications from Mixed Nuts regardless of your system settings.
What Triggers Notifications
You will receive push notifications for:
- Match reminders -- upcoming match notifications
- Roster changes -- when someone opts in or out of a match you are in
- Reserve promotion -- when you are promoted from reserve to confirmed
- Slot offers -- when you are offered a slot and need to confirm (AutoAssign/RoundRobin)
- Chat messages -- new messages in your group chats (unless muted)
- Match cancellations -- when a match you opted into is canceled
Troubleshooting
If you are not receiving notifications:
- Check system settings -- make sure notifications are enabled for Mixed Nuts in your device's notification settings.
- Check the in-app toggle -- go to Profile > Push Notifications and make sure it is enabled.
- Check your internet connection -- push notifications require an active internet connection to be delivered.
- Restart the app -- close and reopen Mixed Nuts to re-register your device token.
- Check Do Not Disturb -- make sure your device is not in Do Not Disturb or Focus mode.
