When a confirmed player opts out of a match that has reserves waiting, a spot opens up. How that spot is filled depends on the group's slot offer mode.
In Manual mode, the group owner is responsible for managing reserves. When a spot opens, the owner can manually promote a reserve to fill it. This is the default mode for all groups on the Free plan.
In AutoAssign mode, reserves are automatically promoted in FIFO (first in, first out) order. When a confirmed player drops out:
AutoAssign is available on the Pro plan.
RoundRobin offers the open slot to the next reserve in line and waits for them to actively claim or decline. If they decline (or do not respond before the timer expires), the offer rolls to the next reserve. The previous reserve stays in the queue for future matches -- declining one offer does not remove them from future ones.
This mode is a good fit when reserves want an explicit say in whether they take the spot. See Round Robin for the full walkthrough.
RoundRobin is available on the Pro plan.
Auction mode broadcasts the open slot to all reserves at once. The first reserve to claim wins the spot. This is the fastest mode -- great when matches start soon and you want anyone available to grab the slot.
Auction is available on the Pro plan.
In AutoAssign and RoundRobin, the offered reserve has a limited time to act. If the timer expires the system automatically moves on to the next reserve. The exact window is configured per group. This keeps spots filling promptly and prevents any single reserve from stalling the queue.
